Red-ringed xbox. help me?
I have a red ringed xbox, what do i do? PLEASE HELP!?
The Xbox:
It has a silver disk tray
3-pronged power jack
3-pronged power cord (the one that goes into the power block thing)
It came with a silver (metallic) hard drive
(I’m not sure what model this is, but i know its older)
The Problem:
It has 3 (not 4) red rings
Can i trade (mail) this in for a new 360?
and how do i go about doing that?
whats the number i should call and do i need paper work/warranty?
Another thing.
The xbox isnt originally mine. Will they ask for the info of the original owner to prove that its mine?

Thats a general Hard ware failure in the xbox. From what I know, you can get it shipped to Microsoft and they’ll repair it or send you a new one for free, i think. Check online, but im pretty sure the “3 red rings of death” is a hardware failure. I think 4 rings is an AV cable failure error thing…
