What the heck is an Eyebrow Retainer.?

I got one for chirstmas, I do have my eyebrow pierced. Wth does it do? What’s it for? I heard that they expand the hole to like gauge it like how pple do with their ears and make the holes big? Is that it’s purpose? I mean????? THankyou so much!!

A retainer is used to hold your piercing open and hide it at the same time. It’s often made of something plastic, so you can wear it if you need surgery or something. Or if you’re not allowed to have piercings in somewhere, you put it in so no one can see the hole but it doesn’t close up.
It’s not used to stretch the hole at all, that would be a taper, and most people don’t stretch their eyebrows anyways….
